A new wave of cast members have joined the production of Gina Rodriguez's boxing drama House of Guerrero, which is currently filming in Los Angeles and California's Imperial Valley.

Gina Rodriguez's highly anticipated boxing drama House of Guerrero has announced a new wave of cast members joining its roster. Chino Pacas, Clave Especial, Vic Blends, and Emily Austin have all been added to the production, which marks the return of Rodriguez behind the camera as director.
Production on the indie film is currently underway in Los Angeles and California's Imperial Valley, with a script penned by Bernardo Cubría. The story follows Carlos Sanson Jr.'s character, a once-promising young boxer struggling to reclaim his life and career.
The cast now boasts an impressive lineup, including previously announced stars such as Rosario Dawson, George Lopez, Becky G, Tokischa, and Rodriguez herself. Clayton J. Barber and Eric Brown are overseeing the film's fight choreography, bringing their expertise from notable films like Creed III and John Wick: Chapter 3, Parabellum.
House of Guerrero is based on an original story by Cubría and Rodriguez, who are known for their work together in the past. The film has begun production, with a focus on delivering a compelling narrative that explores the highs and lows of professional boxing.
Chino Pacas is making his big-screen debut alongside Gina Rodriguez in House of Guerrero, a boxing drama that has begun production.
Pacas joins Clave Especial and Vic Blends as part of the ensemble cast, bringing their unique talents to the film. The singer-songwriter's music career, which includes his debut album Que Sigan Llegando las Pacas, is well-established in the Música Mexicana movement.
The producers behind House of Guerrero are a diverse group, with Scott Budnick and Ameet Shukla at the helm for 1Community, Molly Breeskin overseeing production for I Can And I Will Productions, and Ryan Baldoni and Andrew Calof working together through Wayfarer Studios. This collaboration is significant as it marks the first major project announced by Baldoni since the resolution of a legal dispute with Blake Lively.
The film's financing structure includes co-financing from several companies, including Wayfarer Studios, 1Community, HarbourView Media Group and Clare LoCicero. Additionally, tax credit financing has been secured through Three Point Capital. The worldwide sales rights for House of Guerrero are being handled by UTA Independent Film Group.
Budnick, founder and CEO of 1Community, has been closely following the work of Chino Pacas and Clave Especial, noting their thoughtful approach in developing an impressive fanbase within the Latin community and beyond.
Their success in leveraging this audience to create touring opportunities and build a dedicated global following over the past couple of years is particularly noteworthy. The same admiration extends to Vic Blends, who has redefined what it means to connect with audiences through authentic engagement.
