The X social media platform has been up and down all morning, with brief but repeated outages preventing posts from loading across both mobile and desktop. The first widespread issue started at around 5:40AM ET this morning, according to Downdetector, leaving timelines consistently unable to refresh on mobile apps and some X users stuck in an endless loading loop. An error message keeps appearing on the web version of X that says “Something went wrong. Try reloading” after attempting to open or refresh a page.
The X loading issues appear to be impacting users globally according to Netblocks, with reports coming in across other social media platforms noting the outages. Reports of outages popped up sporadically, with X usually going down for several minutes at a time before users are able to refresh their feeds again.
