Forget Marvel canon, Captain America is back.

Twins prospect Walter Jenkins — nicknamed Captain America — helped a young fan who fainted before a game Tuesday, carrying him away from the field to receive attention.

The Triple-A St. Paul Saints share video of Jenkins’ heroics, showing the elite prospect standing to the right of a young fan, Lucas, who stumbled during the national anthem.

Jenkins, 21, immediately extended his right hand to grab Lucas while he started wobbling.

As Lucas went limp, Jenkins scooped him up and ushered him away, running with the fan in his arms and giving him to the team’s athletic trainer, per MLB.com.

The team later posted a photo of Lucas flashing his right thumb up.

“Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear a #23 Saints jersey,” the team tweeted. “We are happy to share Lincoln is doing well, and even got some new merch🥹💙.”

Jenkins, a center fielder, went 3-for-5 with one RBI and three runs scored in the Saints’ 12-6 win, continuing his strong season that has him ranked as the sport’s No. 14 prospect, according to MLB.com.

The No. 5 pick in the 2023 MLB Draft is slashing .272/.390/.430 spanning 31 games in his second stint at Triple-A, and he owns a career .871 OPS in the minors.

He’s tallied two homers and 11 RBIs in 136 plate appearances with the Saints this season.

Jenkins, a Wilmington, N.C. native, earned the “Captain America” nickname via ex-Twins legend and one-time Met Michael Cuddyer, as reported three years ago by MLB.com.

“I always tell people, I hate losing more than I like winning, so that kind of sums up the way I play baseball on the baseball field,” Jenkins told the outlet at the time.

“I’m going to give it my all. Go 100 percent, try to be the best player, teammate that I can be.”
