The World Cup Round of 32 continues with a matchup between two strong European sides: Portugal and Croatia.

Portugal finished the group stage second in their group, making them the only pre-tournament favorite to not finish atop their respective group. Seleção star Cristiano Ronaldo, who may be playing in his last World Cup this year, will be in the lineup for his eighth career World Cup knockout match, but he’s still searching for his first knockout stage goal.

After falling to England in their opening match, Croatia came back to secure second in their group by winning their next two against Panama and Ghana. It’s the Vatreni’s third consecutive World Cup in the knockouts after finishing in third place last tournament and second in 2018.
