It fought its way to the top.

“One Battle After Another” was No. 1 at the box office on Friday, its opener, raking in $8.8 million, according to The Numbers.

The Post praised the thriller — starring Leonardo DiCaprio — calling it “sprawling, violent, sweaty, vulgar and invigorating.”

Before its release, DiCaprio sat down with Variety and said, “I would only hope that people go out to the theater and experience it the way it’s meant to be seen,” so the Academy Award winner got his wish.

The flick, based on the 1990 novel “Vineland” by Thomas Pynchon, is slated to take in as much as $25 million in total this weekend.

In the second spot was “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie,” with sales of $4.36 million on Friday, its premiere.

Based on the popular 11-season Netflix series, the film has the show’s star, Laila Lockhart Kraner, reprising her role and brings on Gloria Estefan and Kristen Wiig.

The family adventure, which the New York Times said “is strictly not suitable for anyone over reading age” is expected to earn $13.6 million in total this weekend.

“The Strangers: Chapter 2” landed in third, with $2.2 million in revenue on its debut Friday.

The second installment in the “Strangers” trilogy “is better than the previous movie,” but “still nothing special,” according to Yahoo.

In fourth was “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” down a notch from last week, with a $1.95 million take.

The Japanese animated action flick “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – the Movie Infinity Castle” took fifth, down three spots from last week, with a haul of $1.81 million.
