It’s a credit to the captain — and the head coach — that the Knicks never succumbed to complacency or let their foot off the pedal. Brunson, the Eastern Conference finals MVP, contributed 15 points, five assists and a drawn charge in 31 minutes during the blowout.

Karl-Anthony Towns
Started hot with eight of his 19 points in the first quarter. Finished with another double-double (14 rebounds) and shot an efficient 8-for-11. The Knicks outscored the Cavs by 25 in his 26 minutes.
