Another chapter in one of baseball’s most prolific rivalries will be written tonight when the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox face off in a do-or-die elimination game.

After dropping Game 1 of the AL Wild Card series, the Yankees came back to win Game 2, 4-3.

With the season on the line, catcher Austin Wells came through in a major moment with a line drive that allowed Jazz Chisholm Jr. to cross home plate, breaking the tie in the eighth inning and putting the Yankees ahead by what turned out to be the game-winning run.

With things all tied up, it’s back to Yankee Stadium tonight for one last win-or-go-home game.

How to watch Yankees vs. Red Sox: How to watch Yankees-Red Sox for free in winner-take-all Wild Card Game 3

If you don’t have cable, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to stream the Yankees’ Wild Card series for free. One option we love is DIRECTV, which comes with a five-day free trial and starts at $59.99/month for genre packs, with plenty of subscription options and genre packs that include ESPN.

If you aren’t ready to commit to a full-on subscription, you can try a Sling Orange Day Pass. Priced at $4.99, you’ll get 24 hours of access to all Sling TV Orange has to offer, including ESPN. A week pass, which would cover the full Wild Card, is $14.99.

Yankees vs. Red Sox starting pitchers

Connelly Early will make his fifth career major league start tonight for the Red Sox. Early, replacing the injured Lucas Giolito in the rotation. Early is 1-2 with a 2.33 ERA in four starts so far.

Rookie Cam Schlittler gets the start for the Yankees. Tonight marks Schlittler’s first game against the Red Sox. In fourteen starts this season, Schlittler is 4-3 with a 2.96 ERA.
