A lot of hubbub has been made about the 2026 World Cup.

Headlines have swirled over the past year about a.) expensive ticket prices, b.) transit to matches, c.) the pool expanding to 48 teams, d.) coaches’ roster decisions, e.) Madonna, Shakira and BTS headlining the first-ever Final halftime show and f.) this potentially being the last tourney for Ronaldo, Neymar and Messi.

And, now, that we’re roughly two weeks out from the major tourney, we’re here to set the record straight on just how much seats cost for all games at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium.

If you’re planning on attending the World Cup in the Meadowlands, some tickets can be found for as low as $461 including fees on SeatGeek at the time of publication.

That’s for the June 22 match between Erling Haaland’s Norway versus Sadio Mané’s Senegal. This one is a big deal for the Norwegians who are making their first World Cup appearance in 28 years.

Other matches — including the highly-anticipated showdown between Vinicius Junior’s Brazil and Achraf Hakimi’s Morocco on June 13, which might also be the first game of Neymar’s final World Cup — have inventory starting anywhere between $751 to $8,044 including fees.

While prohibitively expensive, it’s hard to put a price on witnessing World Cup madness up close and personal.

“A World Cup game feels like a cross between an NFL championship and a global street festival,” Matador Network shared in November 2025.

“…the World Cup isn’t just a series of games. It’s a global celebration arriving in America’s backyard. Go with curiosity, cheer with the crowd, follow the rules and you’ll come home with a story far richer than the final score.”

Still need a few more details before smashing that buy button?

We’re here to help, hooligans.

Our team has everything you need to know and more about attending 2026 World Cup games at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium below.

How to get to MetLife Stadium

Although transit to the World Cup has undoubtedly been a hot topic ahead of the tourney, there are quite a few options to get to the Meadowlands for the games (rather than walk as some out-of-towners have suggested).

These are your best bets:

• Eat the $105 round-trip cost (slashed from a previously-announced $150) and take the NJT. Trains will be running back and forth to Secaucus Junction where you can transfer to the Meadowlands rail line, which takes you two minutes away from the Stadium.

• Board the official NYNJ Stadium Shuttle. Direct round-trip buses can be picked up at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, Midtown East in Manhattan, and the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine Park-and-Ride in New Jersey. Be aware that tickets must be secured in advance through the New Jersey Transit World Cup platform. The major downside here? Potential traffic. The major upside? The Post reported that “round-trip bus fares for fans attending the 2026 FIFA World Cup have been cut by 75%…from $80 to $20.”

• Risk everything and book an Uber or Lyft. There are drop-off and pick-up zones outside MetLife. The major detractor here are likely exorbitant surge pricing and wait times. Proceed with caution here!

World Cup matches in Philadelphia

For those planning on catching a tilt or two in the City of Brotherly Love, here’s a look at the six matches set to take place at Lincoln Financial Field:
