MILWAUKEE — Francisco Lindor’s frustration was visible on and off the field Saturday night.

First, the Mets shortstop was charged with a fielding error that led to the Brewers scoring two unearned runs in the second inning.

Lindor returned to the dugout after the final out and slammed his glove in disgust.

“Every year, there’s always a moment for me where I vent out like that — just this time, it was right there in the dugout,” Lindor said after the Mets lost 7-4 at American Family Field. “But I have to be better. I have to pick up my teammates. I have to be there for my teammates, and I have to finish the plays.”

Joey Ortiz’s chopper kangarooed off Lindor’s glove after Frankie Montas had loaded the bases with two outs. Two runs scored on the play.

“I should have made that play,” Lindor said.

He added that he was disappointed he couldn’t help Montas escape the inning with the 1-0 Mets lead intact.

“That’s the frustrating part of this because Montas did everything right, and I wasn’t able to come through for him,” Lindor said.

Montas, who was removed after 72 pitches over three innings — he pitched behind opener Reed Garrett — said he was pleased with his performance.

Montas allowed three runs, but only one was earned. Montas had allowed 12 earned runs combined over his previous two appearances (both of which were starts).

“I thought I was making my pitches today, and I thought I was attacking the zone,” Montas said. “Besides that homer [to Brice Turang in the fourth inning], I thought I threw the ball well.”

Tylor Megill is a possibility for a minor league rehab start this week, according to Mendoza.

The right-hander, who is rehabbing from right elbow inflammation, threw a live batting practice session Friday.

Team officials will know within the next few days whether he is ready for the next step in his rehab.

Cedric Mullins went 2-for-3 with a walk to reach base three times in a game for the first time since arriving to the Mets at the trade deadline.

Mullins entered the day hitless in his previous 12 at-bats.

Paul Blackburn’s next step hasn’t yet been determined, according to Mendoza. The right-hander pitched in a potential final rehab start Friday for Triple-A Syracuse. He is rehabbing a shoulder impingement.
