The Twins aren’t very good wedding planners, it seems.

Four players, second baseman Luke Keaschall, shortstop Ryan Kreidler, third baseman Brooks Lee, and pitcher Cole Sands, have all scheduled their weddings on the same day.

Friends, family, and teammates will now have to decide which Nov. 14 wedding to attend.

Lee told MLB.com that while the overlap is unfortunate, it makes sense teammates with similar schedules chose the same date.

Players have to keep their October clear because of the World Series, and much after that is the holiday season.

“You don’t want to be too close to the end of October,” Lee said. … “and don’t want to be too far [into November] because Thanksgiving is coming up. Seems like everyone is going to choose that date.”

According to the players, they and their significant others planned the weddings without each other’s knowledge and didn’t find out about the overlap until spring training.

Twins manager Derek Shelton told MLB.com that November weddings are not unusual for MLB players. He himself tied the knot on Nov. 15.

“I gave them a bunch of (grief),” Shelton said. “’How am I going to get to each wedding?’”

“I also told them, you guys need to be smart enough to just invite people that aren’t going to come to get gifts,” Shelton continued. “You guys should invite me to all (four) because then I’ve got to send all of you gifts.”

Shelton added that he won’t be able to attend any of the weddings because he’ll be celebrating his anniversary with his wife in Napa, California.

Lee and Keaschall are at least making the logistics for those looking to enjoy more than one wedding on Nov. 14 a little easier.

The two will hold nuptials in central California and plan on “double dipping” a little share, because they are the same agent and financial advisor, and hope some of their teammates choose to do the same.

“It’s a great clubhouse,” Kreidler told Twins TV. “Hopefully nobody feels pressured to hit one or the other. In my case, I’d be happy if anybody goes.”

Regardless of what the attendees look like, Keaschall and Lee said they are both looking forward to seeing their soon-to-be wives dressed in white.

“I’m getting emotional right now. I’ll be crying the whole time,” Lee said. “I’ll have a sweet handkerchief.”
