Derek Fisher’s wife was tossed from a boy’s basketball game on Monday night after she was involved in a tense argument.

The bizarre scene unfolded in a small Los Angeles-area gym, as Fisher was coaching Crespi in a Mission League tournament semifinal matchup against Notre Dame.

Absolutely fascinating. Derek Fisher and Notre Dame’s coach started getting into it in the middle of the game. And a woman (Fisher’s wife?) in the stands behind the bench started getting upset and they just ejected her from the gym pic.twitter.com/LurJazIcqd

In the second quarter, Fisher — a five-time NBA champion — and his coaching counterpart were given warnings by officials to stay in their coaching boxes, which led to a verbal spat.

Video shot by a spectator shows Fisher’s wife, Gloria Govan, entered the dispute from her seat in the stands and launched some verbal barbs.

A Notre Dame official, in response, asked her if she wanted to leave, and when she continued to yell, he directed her to be removed from the venue.

A ref later came over to the scene and also motioned for her to be ejected.

Fisher seemed upset about the whole scene, and at one point, he was held back by someone on his Crespi staff.

Cooler heads went on to prevail, and Fisher’s team ultimately lost, 82-78.

Fisher, who played 13 seasons for the Lakers in his NBA career before he took over the Crespi reins in 2023, has not yet publicly commented on the incident.
