Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells have re-opened their copies of “The Book of Mormon.”
The stars, who originated the roles of Elder Cunningham and Elder Price on Broadway, are coming back to the Eugene O’Neill Theatre from June 9-14 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical.
They’ll be joined by Tony winner Nikki M. James (Nabulungi), and Tony nominee Rory O’Malley (Elder McKinley) at the “Magical Mormon Mystery Week’s” worth of shows.
If you’d like to see the iconic thespians “perform select scenes and songs alongside the current cast” — with no two performances being the same (!) — tickets are available for all seven shows.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for any one show was $226 including fees on StubHub.
Other productions have seats starting anywhere from $228 to $270 including fees.
“You won’t know who you’re getting [on the night of the show you go to],” Parker, Stone and Robert Lopez told Stephen Colbert while breaking the exciting news.
Parker then added “I’m actually going to play Joseph Smith and Jesus.”
In addition to Parker, Playbill reports that “Stone, and Lopez as well as Broadway’s original Mormon and Ugandan ensembles at certain performances, plus other surprise guests from the Mormon family” will pop up throughout the week.
For the uninitiated, “The Book of Mormon” tells the story of a mismatched pair of missionaries who ship off to Uganda to convert local villagers to, you guessed it, Mormonism.
Current cast members spearheading the ensemble include Kevin Clay (Elder Price), Diego Enrico (Elder Cunningham) and Sydney Quildon (Nabulungi).
“…underneath the profanity, the show’s actually really sweet,” The Post reported back in March 2011. “…Parker and Stone don’t make fun of Mormons per se. Or they don’t make fun of them any more or less than they make fun of a lot of other things and people.”

Outside of June 9-14, “The Book of Mormon” is chugging along at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre with no end in sight.
If you’d like to see the tenth-longest running show in Broadway history that Entertainment Weekly calls “the funniest musical of all time,” shows take place Tuesday through Sunday.
Matinees go down at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The musical runs 2 hours and 30 minutes with a 15-minute intermission. You can expect to get out of an evening show at 9:30 p.m.

“The Book of Mormon” cast
Although Gad, Rannells, James and O’Malley aren’t regularly at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre these days, here’s who you can find at the playhouse these days.
Kevin Clay (Elder Price) is a “proud graduate” of Penn State University and has performed at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Music Theatre Wichita and Wagon Wheel Theatre.
Diego Enrich (Elder Cunningham) made his Broadway debut with “The Book of Mormon.” Prior to joining the cast, he acted as Cunningham on the North American tour of the show from 2024-25.
Sydney Quildon (Nabulungi) debuted on Broadway with “The Book of Mormon” as well. She’s a Hartt School grad and also starred as Ariel in “The Little Mermaid” before linking up with the ensemble.
Charlie Franklin (Elder McKinley) returned to “The Book of Mormon” after working elsewhere. He’s also appeared in “Succession” and “The Loudest Voice.”
Jacques C. Smith (Mafala Hatimbi) may look familiar. He previously inhabited the role of Benny in “Rent” and popped up in “General Hospital,” “Law & Order,” “ER,” “CSI: Miami” and “Oz” where he was a series regular.
