Is it chicken or is it ice cream?

That’s what Yankee fans may be asking themselves on Friday during the home opener when they’re at the concession stand ordering food.

The Yankees are introducing a new dessert option on their menu this season in the form of an ice cream treat designed to look like fried chicken.

The Mini Dessert “Chicken” Bucket looks like a fried chicken drumstick and comes in a mini bucket similar to the one that carries actual chicken. One of the most popular items at Yankee Stadium for years has been the bucket filled with chicken fingers and Nathan’s French fries.

This one, however, will come in a much smaller bucket that fans can take home.

The ice cream treat has a chocolate-covered cookie “bone” in the middle. The ice cream is coated in white chocolate and candied corn flakes.

The item will be sold at concessions in sections 125 and 318 inside The Bronx ballpark and will be available to all fans.

Other dessert options this year include Magnolia Bakery brownies and blondies, apple pie nachos and apple pie apple pie dumplings from Brooklyn Dumpling.

After finishing their season-opening road trip, the Yankees will play their home opener on Friday against the Marlins in an interleague battle.
