Ouch!

WWE star Sheamus has suffered a head wound in a gym accident that left blood dripping down his face and arms.

His most recent Instagram post shows him dressed in a Celtics jersey with a large gash in his head with lots of blood.

“Gym fail #fml,” his caption read.

The 48-year-old did not give any further details on what happened.

Sheamus, whose real name is Stephen Farrelly, is training for his in-ring return after sustaining a shoulder injury that required surgery at the end of 2025.

He has been teasing his return on social media, posting last week at the WWE Performance Center with Myles Borne, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. He also posted with kickboxer Bernard Robinson.

“Anyone sleeping on Sheamus’ return to the squared circle hasn’t mixed it up with BERNARD ‘SWIFTKICK’ ROBINSON aka @swiftkick_gym aka coach,” Sheamus wrote. “Champions train Champions.”

Sheamus’s last match was in November 2025, when he defeated Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh in a six-man tag match alongside John Cena and Rey Mysterio.

The wrestler was expected to compete in the WWE’s Last Time is Now tournament to help decide Cena’s last opponent, but had to withdraw due to his injury.

The injury, Sheamus said, started nagging him in May 2025, but he fought through the pain until November, when WWE pulled him from all further competition.

Farrelly has won the WWE championship three times, the United States championship three times and the World Heavyweight championship once, and he won the King of the Ring tournament in 2010.

He has also featured in multiple films, including “The Escapist” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.”
