I’m not letting the Cam Skattebo draft pick scare me.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. is going to have a monster year for the Giants.

After being drafted in the fifth round by Big Blue in the 2024 NFL Draft, Tracy burst on the scene during an otherwise miserable season, rushing for 839 yards and six total touchdowns.

That doesn’t capture just how good Tracy was when he took over the Giants’ backfield after Devin Singletary went down with an injury before Week 5.

Over the Giants’ final 13 games, Tracy averaged 62.3 yards on the ground per game and 4.5 yards per carry.

If Tracy can hit those averages over a full season, he’d go well over 1,000 rushing yards – and blow out his rushing yard prop for the season, which is sitting at around 725 yards depending on the sportsbook.

A massive chunk of last season’s production came while the Giants trailed.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. #29 of the New York Giants runs with the ball during the first half of a NFL Preseason 2025 game between New York Jets and New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on August 16, 2025 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

After going 3-14, the Giants shouldn’t be playing from behind as often as they were a year ago, leading to more handoffs for the offense.

Tracy’s 2024 performance was overshadowed by a loaded rookie class, which included teammate Malik Nabers, who took all of the buzz Tracy could have garnered among the fan base and beyond.

Betting on the NFL?

Don’t get it twisted – the Giants have their lead running back of the future.

Anything the fourth-round pick Skattebo adds is a bonus, but he won’t take away from Tracy’s touches this season.

The play: Tyrone Tracy Jr. to have more than 725.5 rushing yards this season (-115, Caesars Sportsbook)
