Joe Schoen is here to stay — for at least one more season.

Giants owners John Mara and Steve Tisch confirmed Monday that the team’s general manager will return despite another disastrous season — the Giants’ 7-27 record in the past two years ranks second-worst in the NFL — citing their belief in “continuity and stability,” as well as the “young core of talent” Schoen has assembled in recent seasons.

Schoen joined the Giants four years ago — one week before Brian Daboll — and ownership would have had plenty of support if it decided to clean house, two months removed from firing their head coach.

Instead, Schoen will direct another draft — the Giants will pick fifth after winning their final two games of the regular season — looking to build off the promising recent selections of Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers, Cam Skattebo and Abdul Carter, while avoiding repeating the mistakes of picking Evan Neal or Deonte Banks.
