The New York Knicks aren’t shipping up to Boston.

After coming back from a 3-1 series deficit, Joel Embiid’s Philadelphia 76ers shocked the Celtics and advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals where they’ll face Jalen Brunson, Karl Anthony-Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart and the rest of Mike Brown’s talented club.

Games at Madison Square Garden are scheduled to take place on these dates:

Game One
Monday, May 4
8 p.m.

Game Two
Wednesday, May 6
7 p.m.

Game Five
Tuesday, May 12
TBD

Game Seven
Sunday, May 17
TBD

If you’d like to be there, last-minute tickets are available for all hypothetical Knicks home contests at MSG.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one game at the Garden was $321 including fees on SeatGeek.

Prices start at $318 including fees for head-to-head hardwood battles at Philadelphia’s Xfinitiy Mobile Arena.

Ahead of this contest, New York routed the Atlanta Hawks in a 140-89 blowout where all five starters scored at least 12 points and nine (!) players came off the bench to chip in.

“I think they’re very good,” Sixers Head Coach Nick Nurse said. “I think their starting lineup is incredible… Brunson is obviously a big problem. I think they’re very good and it’s going to be a tremendous challenge.”

Over the course of the 2025-26 regular season, the longtime rivals met four times and each won twice. In their most recent showdown, New York roughed up Philadelphia and won by a score of 138-89 on the Sixers’ home court.

To make sure they don’t have a repeat of that game — or the 2024 First Round Series that the Knicks won in six — Embiid has urged Philly fans not to sell their tickets to those who back the blue and orange.

“Good thing about New Yorkers, man, they’re persistent. They don’t care, bro. They’re going to do it, man,” Knicks forward Josh Hart said. “And for a lot of people, everything revolves around money. So, you know, if they get a good price for those tickets, they’re going to sell them.”

About Knicks-76ers

As mentioned earlier, the Knicks and Sixers faced off four times over the course of the 2025-26 NBA season.

In their first contest, Philly won 116-107 at the Garden on Dec. 19, 2025. Tyrese Maxey led all players on either team with 30 points (including six threes) and nine assists. Mitchell Robinson grabbed 16 boards for New York.

The 76ers maintained their dominant ways in their second showdown that ended with a 130-119 score. Once again, Maxey owned New York dropped 36 points while receiving help from Paul George who chipped in six assists.

New York roared back in their third battle. A dominant 30-13 third quarter gave Mike Brown’s squad a hard-earned 112-109 victory. Still, the real star of the game was Embiid who exploded for 38 points. On the Knicks’ side Hart snatched 13 boards while dishing seven assists.

Their final meeting was the aforementioned 138-89 drubbing on Feb. 11. Although New York whomped Philadelphia by a cool 49 points, Maxey was the game’s top scorer once again, with 32 points.

This Eastern Conference Semifinals series will be the first time the two longtime foes have met in the postseason since 2024. As noted above, New York won that first round series in six games. Brunson averaged 35.5 points per game and nine assists while Embiid scored 33 PPG and 10.8 boards a night.

According to New York Post NBA experts, they expect the Knicks to win in either five, six or seven games.
