Heavyweight Valdey Pierre tipped the scales big time for Sachem North, leading the wrestling team to its first county title in 34 years.

“I didn’t even know that the county championship was on the line,” Pierre, a senior wrestling at 285, told The Post of his big showing in the Suffolk finals.

“I stepped off the mat, and my coach was like, ‘You just won us the county ’chip.’ And I was so happy.”

Pierre’s methodical, 4-0 victory over Amityville’s Erick Mejia Zavala is also sending him back to individual states for the second straight year at the end of February.

This time, he wants to earn his first medal in Albany.

“Last year, I was at a pretty big weight disadvantage, but now I’ve bulked [up] and filled out my frame,” said the 17-year-old, who scaled in at about 230 pounds in the 285 class.

“I feel like I’ll probably get on that podium this year,” added Pierre, now closer to 270 pounds.

The big man, also an offensive lineman committed to play at Pace University, has been putting in plenty of weight-room work and said his fall sport experience helps on the mat.

“It’s a lot of hip stuff I’ve learned, also hand fighting,” he said. “It translates.”

Pierre also has a super supporter in his corner — younger sister Chloe, who is “a really light 185” on the girls wrestling team as a sophomore.

“We’re trying to get her on the county podium now,” Pierre said of her junior season.

The Fighting Tomcats found their new hangar.

American Soccer Club of the NPSL announced its home games will be played in the heart of Nassau County at 10,000-seat Mitchel Field in Uniondale for its second season, moving a few short blocks from Hofstra University to the larger stadium this May.

Hungry for more, the team also announced Embassy Diner of Bethpage as its official eatery.
