SEATTLE — The morning after didn’t change the feeling. It only amplified the outrage after the U.S. national team exited the World Cup in spectacularly embarrassing fashion, 4-1 to Belgium in the Round of 16.

Electric in the first half against Paraguay, then had an injury-plagued and mostly ineffective tournament. Also, frankly, needs to do a better job showing people he cares about the national team. It may just have been his way of dealing with the pressure, but every time Pulisic said this World Cup was just another tournament, it felt way too nonchalant. The Fox interview after the Belgium defeat, in which Pulisic said he can now get some rest, provoked righteous outrage.
