A travel influencer who gushed over Paris has died after she was run over by a car at a pedestrian crossing while out for a morning jog in her dream city.

Fernanda Carolina Lind Silva, 31, originally from Santos, Brazil, had been living in France for the past six years.

She worked for a foreign trade company and shared travel tips on her Instagram profile, where she had over 50,000 followers.

But on Tuesday she was hit by a car while running on a pedestrian crossing between the Paris communes of Saint-Cloud and Suresnes and was left with serious injuries.

Fernanda’s husband, Pedro Angelo Abatayguara Rosal, was alerted about the accident through an app on the digital watch that Fernanda was wearing at the time of the collision.

Fernanda’s sister Aline explained: ‘The watch sent him a notification like this: an accident happened to Fernanda and you are the emergency contact.’

Pedro tried to call his wife but received no answer, and he went to the location he received via the digital alert.

When he arrived, he saw Fernanda being resuscitated on the street.

Aline said: ‘He saw our beloved girl lying on the ground and receiving first aid from paramedics.’

Fernanda was taken to the Hopitaux de Paris in critical condition.

She had suffered three broken ribs and a fractured collarbone, as well as a very serious head injury.

On Wednesday, Fernanda’s family arrived from Brazil to see her, but were told by doctors that she was brain dead.

Her sister added: ‘Although her body showed vital signs considered perfect by doctors, unfortunately the brain activity observed decreased until brain death was declared around 2 pm’.

French police said they are investigating the case as a homicide.

They found and arrested the driver who hit Fernanda and he tested negative for any drugs or alcohol.

Fernanda ran a popular Instagram profile titled ‘@parislowcost’, where she shared tips about how to visit dream destinations like the French capital on a budget.

Her social media also suggests that she enjoyed running and participated in the Paris Marathon back in April.

Her friend Flavia took to Instagram to express her sadness over Fernanda’s death, and described her as a ‘courageous and determined woman.’

‘My friend, you left too soon, we already miss you so much! But you ran, lived and achieved your dreams. And your dreams became a legacy!,’ she wrote.

‘Your light will shine forever like the Eiffel Tower that you loved so much.’

It comes just days a British influencer died after falling from Spain’s highest bridge.

The 26-year digital creator Lewis Stevenson is said to have plunged from the 630ft Castilla-La Mancha bridge in Talavera de la Reina a 90-minute drive south-west of Madrid on Sunday over the Tagus River as he climbed it to film a social media stunt.
