The Liberty might have to take a calculated risk in next week’s expansion draft and leave Breanna Stewart and/or Jonquel Jones unprotected. 

It sounds crazy. 

Stewart and Jones are franchise cornerstones and very much in the Liberty’s plans for 2026.

They’re also two premier players in the league and any team would be happy to build around them.
