Tom Brady spent two decades terrorizing defensive coordinators. These days, he’s apparently coming for your local beverage aisle.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion unveiled his latest business venture Monday, launching a premium coconut water brand called Good Nut in partnership with Gopuff.

The beverage line includes original, chocolate, and sparkling varieties, all sourced from organic Vietnamese coconuts and marketed as a cleaner alternative to traditional sports drinks.

The hydration angle is pure Brady. The name is where things get interesting.

If social media’s reaction is any indication, Good Nut might be the most attention-grabbing product launch of Brady’s post-playing career. And judging by the company’s marketing campaign, that appears to be exactly the point.

In the launch commercial, Brady spends nearly a full minute describing the product while expertly avoiding saying its name out loud. The result feels less like an ad for coconut water and more like a late-night comedy sketch.

A few years ago, it would’ve been hard to imagine the meticulously disciplined quarterback behind the TB12 empire attaching his name to something called Good Nut. But retirement has clearly loosened the tie a bit.

Since hanging up his cleats, Brady has become Fox Sports’ lead NFL analyst, willingly subjected himself to a Netflix roast that generated headlines for weeks, leaned into self-deprecating humor, and launched products ranging from GOAT Gummies to his premium performance and lifestyle apparel line.

The quarterback who once treated avocado ice cream like a sacred text now appears perfectly comfortable being the punchline.

That doesn’t mean the business opportunity isn’t real.

Coconut water sales on Gopuff reportedly jumped 115 percent year-over-year, while the global market is projected to surpass $11 billion by 2030. Brady said coconut water has long been part of his routine, particularly chocolate coconut water, which helped inspire the collaboration.

“With Good Nut, we focused on keeping the ingredients simple and clean,” Brady said.

Whether consumers are buying it for the hydration benefits or simply because they want to tell their friends they just ordered a 12 bottles of Good Nut is another question entirely.

Either way, Brady has once again accomplished something he’s been doing for years: getting people to pay attention.
