Sheinelle Jones is speaking out following the death of her husband, Uche Ojeh. The “Today” show co-host shared a post on her official Instagram account shortly after her colleagues announced the news on-air.

“Thank you, for all of your love and support,” Jones, 47, wrote to her followers on Friday.

Ojeh, whose full name was Uchechukwuka Adenola Ojeh, died at 45 after a battle with cancer.

The message also included the video of her NBC family addressing Ojeh’s death on NBC.

“With profound sadness, we share this morning that Uche Ojeh, the husband of our friend and Today co-host Sheinelle Jones, has passed away after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma,” Savannah Guthrie said.

“There are no words for the pain we feel for Sheinelle and their three young children. Uche was an incredible person,” Guthrie, 53, continued. “We all loved him. And so we want to take a moment to tell you more about the remarkable man who was Sheinelle’s perfect partner in life.”

Guthrie revealed the news alongside Jenna Bush Hager, Al Roker, Calvin Melvin, Carson Daly and Dylan Dreyer.

Jones has not appeared on the “Today” show since December 2024, noting at the time that she was tending to a family health matter.

Story is still developing.
