Here’s what to look for in the Giants’ second preseason game against the Jets on Saturday at MetLife Stadium:

Receiver roles

It is always a race and a chase for the final spots at the wide receiver position.

If we assume Jalin Hyatt is safe — in an up and down summer, this might not be a safe assumption — then there are only two spots open.

Do the new guys with the most experience — Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Zach Pascal — get those spots or do any of the younger prospects — Montrell Washington, Beaux Collins or returner Gunner Olszewski — slide in?

How these players fare on special teams could be the difference-maker.

Corner battle

Deonte Banks stayed in the preseason opener long after the other starters on defense were pulled, notching 20 snaps and not exactly lighting anything up out there on the field.

He was held out of the second joint practice with the Jets and he might not be ready to play this weekend.

How has his battle with Cor’Dale Flott for a starting cornerback spot going?

It is safe to say neither player has reached out and grabbed the job.

Line dancing

Evan Neal was banged up and unavailable for the first preseason game and missed the first joint practice session with the Jets.

He was able to participate the next day and put some good stuff on film.

He needs real game action for the Giants to gauge how the transition to guard is going.

At this point, it seems unlikely he will be able to unseat veteran Greg Van Roten for the starting spot at right guard.

It is a long season, though, and Neal figures to get his shot at some point.

His size and strength is impossible to ignore.
