STAMFORD, Conn. — The Nets are entering a Bizarro tanking season, where victories will cause fan meltdowns and events will be judged by the team’s finish in the draft lottery.

So what exactly will constitute success for this upcoming campaign? What do they want to get out of their immediate future?

The Post put that question to one of the greatest players from their past, the highest-flying Net ever.

“Well, one thing I want to give Jordi [Fernandez] credit for is he has his teams playing hard,” Vince Carter told Sports+ before flying to Macao to join the Nets (and Suns) for the NBA China Games. “And I think at the end of the day, the organization, and even fans — obviously it’s hard to [make everybody happy].
