The Jaxson Dart praise is now even coming from the most unlikely of sources

It didn’t take long for Giants rookie Jaxson Dart to put the league on notice.

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio offered high praise for the Giants’ new field general ahead of their Week 8 rematch in Philadelphia on Sunday.

Fangio typically takes a reserved approach when addressing the media, but he didn’t mince words with regards to Dart — declaring that the teams who passed on him made a grave mistake.

“One lesson is learned and the teams that need quarterbacks that bypass them, they’re going to regret that. Obviously very athletic, an elite scrambler,” Fangio told reporters on Tuesday. “I think their coaches have done a great job with him. They’ve developed the offense around him, throws the ball very well, intermediate and deep, and he’s a good player.”

Fangio had a front-row seat to Dart’s breakout performance, when the 22-year-old QB threw for 195 yards and a touchdown to lead the Giants to a shocking 34-17 upset over the reigning Super Bowl champs in just his third NFL start.

Alongside ferocious rookie halfback Cam Skattebo, the 25th overall pick has injected new life into a franchise that’s been running on empty for over a decade.

The Giants are 2-2 since the Ole Miss product took over for veteran QB Russell Wilson in Week 4 — and even in crushing defeat, Dart’s managed to command the spotlight.

The Giants found themselves on the wrong side of history when they blew an 18-point lead in the final five minutes to lose a 33-32 soul-crusher to the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.

But the silver-lining of the heartbreak came in the form of a dazzling effort from Dart, who completed 15 of his 33 passes for a career-high 283 yards and three touchdowns — as well as a go-ahead rushing score with less than a minute to go.

“I have to give him credit. He’s a lot better than what we thought,” said Denver linebacker Nik Bonitto during an appearance on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams on Tuesday. “His feel for the game and ability to maneuver in the pocket and make plays on the run… I was really impressed.”

The Giants (2-4) will look for the same result against the Eagles (5-2) when they march into enemy territory on Sunday afternoon — relying on their franchise quarterback to lead the charge once again.
