Giants fans are not in a forgiving mood in the wake of the Rush 3, Drop 8 firestorm engulfing defensive coordinator Shane Bowen … but with the Eagles up next, his players are defending him with more urgency than they defended Bo Nix at the end of their epic collapse in Denver:

Blame us. Not him.

“That call was perfect for that situation,” Brian Burns said Wednesday.

Burns was captured on video vocal and beyond frustrated about Rush 3, Drop 8 as he trudged to the visitors locker room … Bowen opting not to pressure Nix was not his source of his agitation. On Tuesday morning, he tweeted: “People took that tunnel video all outta context. I wasn’t mad at Shane nor the call.”
