“Superman” didn’t just fly — the film almost destroyed the competition.

The movie was the superhero of Friday’s box office with The Man of Steel rocketing to the top spot.

On its opening day, it raked in a heroic $56.5 million, according to The Numbers.

The Post called the film — “entertaining,” and its star David Corenswet “an instantly likable upgrade,” but said its director, James Gunn, “goes overboard with silliness at times.”

It had the second largest opening day in 2025 behind “A Minecraft Movie,” and is slated to earn up to a total of $120 million this weekend.

“Jurassic World Rebirth” came in second, taking in $11.37 million on Friday, its second in theaters.

The prehistoric flick, the seventh installment in the “Jurassic Park” franchise, had a reported production budget of $180 million.

Landing in third place was “F1: The Movie,” with sales of $3.7 million.

The Brad Pitt-driven film has already become Apple’s highest-grossing ever, dethroning 2023’s “Napoleon” by earning $293 million globally in just 10 days.

“How to Train Your Dragon” moved down a spot to fourth, with $2.3 million in revenue on its fifth Friday in theaters.

Disney and Pixar’s “Elio” also fell a notch to fifth, but still with a healthy $1.2 million-dollar take.
