Controversial podcaster Steven Crowder reportedly sent “insane” non-disclosure agreements — featuring $100,000 breach-of-contract penalties — and interrogated staffers to plug media leaks that allegedly exposed his abusive behavior at work, Mediaite reported Tuesday.
Last month, the “Louder with Crowder” host — who sparked fury in April after a video showed him yelling “f–king watch it” at his pregnant wife, as The Post reported — allegedly buttonholed workers days after the damning expose by news site Mediaite.
Four staffers “departed” the company after being questioned by Crowder and refusing to sign the NDA, the outlet reported.
The publication had revealed the host allegedly fostered a toxic workplace that included bullying, drug use and sexual misconduct on July 20.
The NDAs were sent out on July 26 following an internal meeting held by “Louder with Crowder” CEO Gerald Morgan, Mediate reported.
The agreements, reviewed by Mediate, said that staffers who breached the company’s confidentiality would be “liable to the Company for liquidated damages in the amount of $100,000.00.”
“The NDA was insane,” a source close to the conservative’s popular online show, told Mediate.
“How corrupt or clueless do you have to be to respond to reports of employee abuse by turning around and threatening employees with a $100,000 fine?”
The staffers were given until the next day to sign the NDA, sources told Mediate.
“Most employees were scared because of it.” an insider told Mediaite. “Some talked to lawyers about it because they were afraid, but thought if they didn’t sign that would incriminate them. He was intimidating.”
Crowder held another meeting on July 27 where he reportedly downplayed sexual misconduct allegations — first reported by The Post in May — that included him sending photos of his genitals to subordinates and regularly exposed himself in the workplace.
“If you’re not okay with guys playing sack tap then this isn’t the place for you,” Crowder reportedly said at the meeting, referring to hitting another person’s genitals.
“Steven’s increasing justification of his workplace sexual behavior between men makes a lot of male employees uncomfortable. He always says it’s joking but it doesn’t seem like a joke to anyone anymore,”
Staffers were further forbidden from communicating with former employees over text-messages that were sent to former employees.
“Steven was livid,” another source close to Crowder told Mediaite. “He and Gerald [Morgan] said they knew someone was talking to you [the author of this piece] based on the article you wrote.”
A former “Louder with Crowder” employee compared the clampdown to “how Scientologists aren’t allowed to associate with people who’ve left the Church,” according to Mediaite.
“Gerald and Steven intimidate and bully the staff. They try to divide and conquer,” the source told Mediate. “They treat former employees like people who’ve left their cult and can no longer be trusted and current employees are commanded not to associate with those former employees.”
The recent hire of Michael Spadone — a former field director at Project Veritas who was accused of kissing and groping a former colleague in a lawsuit that was settled for $270,000 in May — is another indication that Crowder’s predatory regime is here to stay, former employees said.
“This whole situation is obviously extremely concerning for the women who work in the studio,” an ex-staffer told Mediaite.
“Steven’s sexual habits and behavior at work are troublesome enough, but to find out a man alleged of sexual assault has been hired by Steven the same week you’re handed a fresh NDA with a $100,000 penalty would leave anyone scared.”
Representatives for “Louder with Crowder” did not respond to noti.group’s request for comment.
The latest revelations about Crowder come after the embattled host rejected $50 million deal with The Daily Wire because it was a ‘slave contract’ — instead signing onto free speech platform Rumble in March.
Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing posted a response video, noting that the $50 million, four-year contract was non-binding and included an optional two-year extension at the rate of an additional $25 million.
The terms of the partnership with Rumble remain undisclosed.
The deal came a month before the leaked Ring doorbell video showed Crowder berating his wife, Hilary.
In the footage from June 2021, he tells her to “f–king watch it” and accuses her of refusing “to do wifely things” while telling her he doesn’t love her.
At the time, she was eight months pregnant with their twins.
After the release of the video, her family released a statement saying she had been hiding his “mentally and emotionally abusive behavior” from her friends and family.
The pair, who married in 2012, have been locked in a contentious divorce since 2021.
