Steph Curry’s sneaker collection, featuring shoes that the NBA icon recently wore and autographed fetched an eye-watering $1.7 million this week.

Officials at Sotheby’s announced the staggering figure just hours after bidding closed on the lot on Tuesday, revealing more than 400 people from nearly 30 countries made efforts to score the Curry treasures.

“From the moment bidding opened to the final minutes of the sale, we saw overwhelming interest,” said Brahm Wachter, the head of modern collectables at Sotheby’s, “with the majority of lots achieving more than twenty-five bids.”

Over 70 pairs of kicks that Curry donned throughout the 2025-26 NBA season following his much-publicized split with Under Armour went up for sale on April 13, and each, according to Sotheby’s, “reflected Curry’s deliberate engagement with basketball history, global sneaker culture, and the evolution of the game itself.”

The most expensive were Curry’s 2010 Nike Hyperdunk PEs, which netted a staggering $121,600. Curry wore them during warmups on Christmas Day Sotheby’s

Curry’s Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita Sweet 16” that he wore shortly after his breakup with UA became official scored $76,800, well over the $3,000-$5,000 estimate experts had expected them to get.

Curry’s ANTA KAI 3 “Chinese New Year” shoes, meanwhile, were bought for $70,400.

All of the proceeds from the auction went to Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, an organization he and his wife, Ayesha, set up to help underprivileged youth.

“This whole journey started as a way to have some fun with the game and tell stories through what I was wearing every night, but it turned into something much bigger than I ever expected,” Curry said. “Seeing the response from fans and collectors around the world, and knowing that every pair is now going on to have a life beyond me, is really special.

“What means the most is that this moment is creating real impact off the court through Eat. Learn. Play., and that’s always been the goal.”
