Sophie Cunningham is washing off the old and embracing the new.

Following signing a one-year, $665,000 contract to re-up with the Fever on Sunday, the 29-year-old guard decided to celebrate the return by getting her second baptism.

Cunningham, 29, shared the moment on TikTok on Tuesday in what looked to be a private ceremony at Christ’s Church of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona.

“Soooooo this was fun,” she wrote in the video.

“I got baptized when I was little but I was feeling a tug on my heart to do it on my terms as an adult! Such a fun, amazing day. Thank you Jesus 🙏 #christiantok,” Cunningham wrote in the caption.

“Loving Jesus is fun, try it,” she added on X.

It’s not the first time the seven-year veteran has been vocal about her faith on social media. Cunningham has a pinned post on her X account that touches on her beliefs.

“Everything happens for a reason is not in the bible but ‘God promises to work all things to good for those who love him’ is. Romans 8:28,” she wrote in October 2016.

Heading into the 2026 season, Cunningham is coming off quite the offseason.

She made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut along with Lynx star Napheesa Collier in early April. She also made an errant shot into the ANNIKA pro-am crowd in November in what made for a hilarious moment alongside Fever teammate Caitlin Clark.

Cunningham will be a part of the firepower that the Fever are building around 2024 Rookie of the Year Clark.

On Friday, Indiana reportedly agreed to a historic four-year, $6.3 million extension with Aliyah Boston. They also previously signed Monique Billings and Tyasha Harris in free agency, and Kelsey Mitchell came back on a one-year, $1.4 million supermax contract.
