A little over a week following Simone Biles’ major health scare, the Olympic gymnast still doesn’t want to dive into the incident just yet.
The 29-year-old responded to a fan Sunday who called her out for not sharing more information in a comment on an Instagram video detailing her upcoming trip to Belize.
“Never got the update on near death experience 😕” the user wrote.
Biles responded: “not ready to talk about it just yet ❤️🩹”
On June 6, Biles shared an Instagram story about the incident, writing that “almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card.”
She went on to post pictures that showed her hospital bracelets, flowers given to her and an image of her bed with a heart rate measurement that read 126 beats per minute.
It remains unclear if the health scare had to do with her heart.
The 11-time Olympic medalist called it “one of, if not the scariest experience of my life”, especially since her husband and Colts safety Jonathan Owens was away for practice in Indianapolis.
“I’ve been in bed resting this week, I’ll explain sooner or later but s/o to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers,” Biles concluded on her Instagram Stories. “Loooovveeee y’all.”
As of Sunday, Biles is on vacation in Belize with Owens.
She shared images on her Instagram stories, including one of a beach hotel view, couples massage tables and some beachside selfies.
It will be some necessary R&R for Biles after the stressful incident, and some quality time with Owens as he prepares for his eighth season in the NFL.
During the offseason, Owens signed a one-year deal with the Colts worth $1.4 million that includes a $187,500 guaranteed signing bonus after spending two years with the Bears.
