If your plan to combat the post-summer blues is binge-watching TV shows, movies, and sports, Paramount Plus is offering a great deal. New and returning subscribers can save 50 percent on an annual subscription to its Paramount Plus Essential and Paramount Plus Premium plans until September 18th. The deal knocks the annual price of an Essential plan to $29.99 (from $59.99) and the cost of a Premium plan to $59.99 (from $119.99). These plans will renew at its full price next year if you continue your subscription.

Both plans include access to a library of over 40,000 episodes of TV and movies, along with the ability to watch NFL and UEFA Champions League games live on up to three devices simultaneously. The Essentials plan is “ad-supported,” while the Premium plan is ad-free (except when watching live TV), and includes the ability to stream TV shows and movies in 4K with HDR, download content for offline viewing, and access the full Showtime Originals library (Essentials subscribers get limited access). Premium subscribers can also stream CBS live 24/7.

These discounts line up with the beginning of the NFL season, but you don’t have to love football to subscribe. You can stream South Park, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Criminal Minds Evolution, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Gladiator II, Transformers One and hundreds of other classic and contemporary TV series and movies. Premium subscribers can watch Showtime Originals, including Yellowjackets, Dexter Resurrection, and The Chi.

Both Paramount Plus subscriptions are a solid deal at their discounted prices, but remember to set a reminder in your phone for around the time they’ll renew so you can assess whether you want to continue paying for them at full price.
