It was one inning while pitching with an eight-run lead, but Ryan Helsley and the Mets want to believe it began to resolve the integral reliever’s recent pitch-tipping issues.

Helsley worked a scoreless sixth after rookie Jonah Tong departed in the Mets’ 19-9 victory Friday night over the Marlins at Citi Field.

The trade-deadline pickup had suffered his fourth blown save in his first 11 appearances with the Mets in Tuesday’s game against the Phillies, but he tried out an adjustment with his glove and hand positioning during his delivery during Friday’s outing.

“I feel like I made some progress,” Helsley told The Post before Saturday’s game. “I wanted to move my hands around a little bit. I’ve had my hands in the same spot for the last three-plus years. “Moving your hands is obviously a big change for a pitcher, and it probably affects your mechanics a little bit.
