The Rams are going all in after trading for All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie.
Oddsmakers are taking notice.
After news of the blockbuster deal broke, the Rams separated from the reigning champion Seahawks as the favorites to win the 2027 Super Bowl.
The Rams are now an odds-on +750 favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook after having previously been tied with the Seahawks as the co-favorites early on this offseason.
Los Angeles paid a hefty price to bring in McDuffie, who is also expected to sign an extension with the Rams, sending the No. 29 overall pick and additional draft compensation, including a fifth, a sixth, and a 2027 third-rounder, to the Chiefs for the cornerback.
Selected No. 21 overall out of Washington by Kansas City in 2022, McDuffie quickly became a star in the Chiefs’ secondary, playing in 16 games, earning All-Pro honors during his rookie season.
In four NFL seasons, McDuffie has recorded 246 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 34 pass breakups, and three interceptions in 56 contests.
A Southern California native, McDuffie had recently said that if he had to play for any other team besides the Chiefs, it would be the Rams.
The Rams had one of the top defenses in football in 2025, but struggled at times in the secondary and could lose cornerback Cobie Durant in free agency.

LA also has the No. 13 overall pick in this year’s draft via a 2025 draft-day trade with the Falcons, giving them room to part with the handful of picks they used to get McDuffie.
The Rams are looking to get back to the Super Bowl after falling to the division rival Seahawks during the NFC Championship game.
