It’s been quite a week for the Holderness family of Raleigh, N.C. It isn’t every year the Carolina Panthers make the NFL playoffs (once in nine years) or play a home game at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium (none in 11).
Notably, there is PC Holderness, son of Penn and Kim. He’s been a Panther fan his whole life, which spans but 16 years, so for him these are the good old days — “He figures this might be the only one he ever gets,” Penn says.
“He enjoys playing sports, but it’s disturbing how much space in his brain is taken up by useless — well I say useless — facts and stats,” Kim laughs. “He has an opinion on just about any sport. It’s very shocking to me.”
So things have been just a little bit extra-busy at the ever-hectic Holderness Family home. You may recognize them from “Amazing Race 33,” which they won, or their book on the rules of marital engagement, “Everybody Fights,” or their kid’s book, “All You Can Be With ADHD,” or their podcast, “Laugh Lines.”
