No. 2 Miami has passed every test thrown its way this season.

The Hurricanes have notable wins against Notre Dame, Florida and Florida State, while they’ve cruised against inferior opponents en route to a 5-0 record.

In addition to the unblemished record, Miami ticks just about every box when it comes to identifying a championship-caliber roster.

Carson Beck has emerged as a Heisman frontrunner, the defense is a showstopper and the Hurricanes are dominant in the trenches.

As for the coaching prowess of Mario Cristobal, well, the jury’s still out.

Louisville vs. Miami odds, prediction

Before the season, these two teams were seen as peers. With Clemson tagged as the runaway favorite in the ACC, Miami and Louisville were joined by SMU and Georgia Tech as the teams most likely to challenge the Tigers for supremacy in the conference.

As it turns out, we were wrong about everything in the ACC.

Not only has Clemson fallen flat, but Miami has established itself as one of the best teams in college football, while Louisville has yet to impress.

The Cardinals started hot, but a loss to Virginia and a close call against Pitt have really soured the market on Louisville.

That puts the Cardinals in a must-win spot against the Hurricanes, which is asking a lot since they’re two-score underdogs on the road.

Betting on College Football?

And while that may seem like a wide number considering how these two teams were priced before the season, the stylistic matchup here screams rout.

Louisville quarterback Miller Moss has seemingly lost the confidence of his coaching staff, as Jeff Brohm has stated he may use a multi-quarterback attack Friday.

Moss’ main issue has been his ineffectiveness under pressure, which is a disaster against this vaunted Miami front.

And it’s not like Louisville’s running game will be able to take much of the burden off of Moss. The Hurricanes are elite against the run and the Cardinals do not boast a competent running game this season.

The Cardinals essentially will be depending on Moss to win this one on his own, which is a recipe for disaster.

The Play: Miami -13.5 (-110, FanDuel)
