On one of the most important nights for the NFL, an insider made a blunder.
Leading into the sixth pick of the draft on Thursday in Pittsburgh, NFL insider Josina Anderson shared on X that she was told the Commanders were selecting Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles.
However, the Chiefs held the No. 6 pick after trading up, where they selected LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane.
The Commanders, rather, had the seventh pick.
Anderson went on to correct her slip-up, quoting her initial post, writing, “My bad, Styles is for upcoming pick…misread text.”
It led to some criticisms on social media.
“Put the wine bottle down girl,” one user wrote.
“Amateur hour with josina,” another X accout posted.
“You can also stop,” someone else wrote.

However, some football fans also showed her some grace.
“All good, Josina. KNown you’re a good one. Mistakes happen,” a fan posted on X.

“I’m watching @JosinaAnderson account for all the latest picks. The Queen has all the scoops,” another supporter chimed in.
There was speculation Styles would land with the Giants after he helped lead the Buckeyes to a national championship two seasons ago. However, Big Blue selected his Ohio State teammate Arvell Reese just two picks prior.
Anderson has over 25 years experience in the field and is known for making history as the first female NFL Insider at both ESPN and later at CBS Sports.
