The Giants aren’t going to be good this season.

They’re going to be great.

At least according to one NFL insider.

ESPN’s Peter Schrager joined noti.group’s Adam Schein for Wednesday’s “Schein Time” to discuss Big Blue’s chances for 2026.

Not only does Schrager believe the Giants are going to have a winning record, but they could attain double-digit victories for the first time in 10 years.

Schrager thinks the Giants have the consummate professional in John Harbaugh. And, on top of that, the new head coach’s offensive staff is going to be a boon to the entire unit.

“I think this might be an 11 or 12-win team,” Schrager said. “I really do. … They have a very good roster. And early returns on the Harbaugh, which, by the way, I was a little bit ‘OK, let’s see how this all plays out’ based on the hiring process. And he’s coming, wait, we gotta wait, and what’s going on with [general manager Joe] Schoen and that. But he’s on board.”

“And in that offensive room, you’ve got [offensive coordinator] Matt Nagy, [senior offensive assistant] Greg Roman, [passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach] Brian Callahan — three really talented play-callers, and two of them former head coaches.”

Schrager also brought up Malik Nabers’ headline-making live stream appearance during the NFL draft in which he seemingly questioned the Giants taking Arvell Reese with the No. 5 overall pick. Harbaugh, after the appearance, said he did “appreciate” Nabers’ feelings and then explained to the wide receiver about how they would use Reese on defense.

That seemed to resonate with Nabers.

Schrager said the way Harbaugh handled the situation was a “masterclass” in how to lead a football team in 2026.

“He put his arm around Nabers, said ‘I love him, I love the fact that he cares, I love it, and we just gotta talk about how we want to express this.’ I’m not trying to go overboard because we’re in our market, but it has been some dark years for the New York football teams, and I don’t think double-digit wins is crazy for the New York Giants,” Schrager said.

The Giants loaded up at the draft, getting Reese to help the pass rush and guard Francis Mauigoa to help solidify the offensive line — all within the first 10 picks.

In free agency, New York added DJ Reader to fill Dexter Lawrence’s void on the defensive interior, corner Greg Newsome II and tight end Isaiah Likely.

Those additions, combined with quarterback Jaxson Dart entering Year 2 with a Super Bowl-winning head coach, should give the Giants some optimism heading into 2026.
