The Nets’ target at No. 6 may be coming into focus.

With hours to go until the 2026 NBA Draft kicks off Tuesday night, a strong favorite has separated himself from the pack to come off the board when Brooklyn’s turn arrives, barring a last-minute trade.

Mikel Brown Jr. is now +125 to be the No. 6 pick at DraftKings Sportsbook, putting him ahead of the rest of the field as oddsmakers zero in on what the Nets may do with their first lottery pick of the night.

The sharp-shooting 6-foot-5 guard averaged 18.2 points and 4.7 assists per game as a freshman at Louisville, but was limited to 21 games because of a back injury, making him one of the more intriguing evaluations near the top of the draft.

For the Nets, the pick represents another major swing in their ongoing rebuild after using last year’s five first-round pick draft to begin restocking the roster with young talent.

Last month, Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr. led the way, with Kalshi giving him a 21 percent chance of being taken sixth.

Houston’s Kingston Flemings and Brown both sat right behind Acuff at 16 percent, but the market has shifted significantly in the final weeks before the draft, with Brown now emerging as the clearest betting favorite tied to Brooklyn’s pick.

Acuff remains a possibility at No. 6, sitting at +240 at DraftKings.

Betting on the NBA?

Illinois’ Keaton Wagler has emerged as the third favorite at +450.

Flemings has also gained steam as the draft has drawn closer and is now the favorite to be the fifth player off the board after the consensus top four of AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer, and Caleb Wilson.
