The Golics are heading back to ESPN.

Mike Golic Sr. and Mike Golic Jr. will return to ESPN Radio to host “The Golics,” a new weekday show airing from 10 a.m. to noon ET beginning Aug. 3, the network announced Monday.

The father-son duo is rejoining ESPN as part of a multiyear agreement, putting one of the company’s most familiar radio names back in its weekday lineup.

Golic Sr. left ESPN at the end of 2020 after the network ended “Golic & Wingo” earlier that year. He had been one of ESPN Radio’s defining voices across a 25-year run from 1995-2020, co-hosting “Mike & Mike” with Mike Greenberg before later teaming with Trey Wingo.

Golic Jr. remained with ESPN after his father’s departure, but left in 2022. During his previous stint from 2015-22, the former Notre Dame football player worked across ESPN Radio, television and digital platforms. He also called college football games for the network, as did his father.

Now, both are returning together.

“Reuniting with the Mikes Golic was a tremendous opportunity for our audience,” Mike Foss, ESPN’s executive vice president and executive editor for sports news and entertainment, said in a release. “They’ve been building chemistry together since 1989, and it’s a joy to bring their peerless partnership back to ESPN.”

“The Golics” will follow “UnSportsmanLike,” which keeps its 6-10 a.m. slot with Chris Canty, Evan Cohen and Michelle Smallmon.

The new show will also stream live on the ESPN App, with episodes available afterward on major podcast platforms. ESPN said both Golics will also make appearances across other shows and platforms.

Their return is part of a wider ESPN Radio weekday shakeup.

“The Rich Eisen Show” will continue from noon to 3 p.m., while “Matt & Myron,” hosted by Matt Jones and Myron Medcalf, is moving from weekends to weekdays from 3-5 p.m.

“Freddie & Harry” remains from 5-8 p.m., followed by “Amber & Ian” from 8-10 p.m., “GameNight” from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. and “SportsCenter All Night” overnight.

But the headline move is the return of the Golic name.

After several years away from ESPN’s daily radio schedule, Mike Golic Sr. is back — and this time, he is officially sharing the show with his son.
