Michele Tafoya did not tune into the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, instead opting to do something she’d never done before during the Big Game.

The former NFL sideline reporter turned conservative commentator took to social media to express that she wasn’t tuning in for Bad Bunny’s halftime performance at Super Bowl 2026 from Levi’s Stadium.

“During halftime tonight, I’m going to do something I’ve never done before: fold laundry,” she wrote on X.

The NFL’s decision to have Bad Bunny perform the halftime show created controversy in the lead-up to the Seahawks’ 29-13 win over the Patriots on Sunday.

Tafoya was a longtime sports reporter and did stints on the sidelines for “Monday Night Football” on ESPN and with “Sunday Night Football” on NBC, a role she held from 2011 to 2022.

Her last assignment was covering the Rams’ Super Bowl win in February 2022, when they defeated the Bengals 23-20 in Los Angeles.

Her broadcast career started at KFAN in Minneapolis, covering the Vikings and the University of Minneapolis before moving over to CBS in 1994.

Tafoya filed paperwork last month to launch a bid to be the Republican nominee for governor of the state of Minnesota.

She joined a crowded field that includes former Minnesota Senate Minority Leader David Hann, ex-NBA player Royce White and US Navy SEAL veteran Adam Schwarze.

Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl ran for a little more than 13 minutes and the Puerto Rican artist was joined on stage by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin.

Celeb cameos also included Cardi B, Alix Earle, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Karol G and others.

On the field, the Seahawks opened a 9-0 lead over the Pats at halftime and Seattle broke the game open in the second half to capture their first Super Bowl title since 2014, when they defeated the Broncos at MetLife Stadium.
