In the midst of a six-game losing streak and beginning a seventh game with a six-run deficit, the Mets’ frustrations were showing.

Jeff McNeil was ejected from Friday’s game at Citi Field against the Rangers after erupting following a called strike three.

Facing Jacob deGrom in the fourth inning of a game the Mets trailed, 6-3, McNeil worked back from an 0-2 hole and forced a full count.

DeGrom threw a four-seamer that was at McNeil’s knees, which he believed to be low.

He flipped his bat away and took a leap toward first base, expecting a walk, and then let out a yell as he learned he had been punched out.

From a distance he said something to home-plate umpire Scott Barry, who immediately tossed the Mets second baseman.

McNeil, who appeared stunned first at the call and then at the hook, was replaced by Ronny Mauricio, who subbed in at third base and pushed Brett Baty to second.
