Lucy Rohden is moving on from “The Dan Le Batard Show.”

In a video posted to X, she said that while she had plenty of good opportunities with the talk show, it was the right time to go in another direction.

“Sometimes it’s just time. Sometimes things just run their course,” said Rohden, who joined the show in 2023, moving to Miami to become part of the Meadowlark Media team.

Now, she’s formalizing a college football media brand called “CFBLucy” with partners like Betches Media and Homefield Apparel. Through the brand, Rohden will continue her college-campus and football content, which she brought to LeBatard’s show.

She’s amassed nearly 9,000 subscribers on her own YouTube with personalized, college football-related content.

Rohden said she’s at a point in her career where she wants to be in charge of what her college football seasons look like and the content she creates.

“College football is the second-largest sport in the country, and it’s really not treated that way in media coverage, in my opinion,” she told Awful Announcing. “Where there’s such an over-saturation with the NFL, and I don’t really feel that way about college football, but the Liberty Bowl will get more views than a huge primetime NBA game.

“So I want to make sure the content is out there for college football fans … commentary, sometimes just saying what’s going on, jokes, all that stuff. Basically, we’re talking ball. That’s all we’re doing.”

In a video explaining her move posted to YouTube on Tuesday, she described her reasoning for aligning with Betches, a female-founded and led media brand.

“Sports are meant to be enjoyed, and Betches is the perfect example of that with a great audience and great people on that team,” Rohden said. “I just feel like our tones really align, and they have such a strong brand presence. Betches is funny, Betches is for the girls, Betches is sports.”
