Even Karl-Anthony Towns’ biggest haters are taking notice.
Towns’ role in the Knicks offense this postseason has received all the plaudits — his facilitating prowess from the elbows, his 3-point efficiency, his aggressiveness that was not always there in the regular season.
His defense has flown a bit under the radar, but it’s been critical for the Knicks.
“I’ve never seen Karl-Anthony Towns defend and be as engaged as he is on the defensive end,” Draymond Green said on ESPN’s “Inside the NBA” show. “What we’ve seen for years, and this year some, is him get these dumb fouls. He’s not even doing that anymore.”
