Kanye West unveils first Yeezy shoe since Adidas antisemitism flap

The rapper formerly known as Kanye West unveiled the first Yeezy shoe produced since Adidas cut ties last year following his string of antisemitic statements.

Ye, as West is now officially known, posted a link to his X social media page which revealed the “YZY POD” foldable sock shoe.

“Our first product since liberation from Adidas goes on presale today, $200 at yeezy.com. Accept no imitations,” read the image on Ye’s X account.

The post on X included a link to the official Yeezy page offering fans an opportunity to preorder the shoe for $200.

The rollout of his latest product comes amid yet another scandal involving the foul-mouthed entertainer.

New footage obtained by the news site TMZ showed the 46-year-old go on a 10-minute rant in Las Vegas during which he just “lost it” — lashing out at Jews yet again.

During this outburst, he shouted, “Jesus Christ, Hitler, Ye! Sponsor that!”

Ye also ranted about “Zionist Jews” owning banks and hospitals in Los Angeles.

“It’s 60 million of us in America, 60 million Jews in the world,” he yelled to the crowd, later stating: “I don’t give a f-ck.”

It’s not clear whether Ye was referring to the population of black people in the US, which is actually estimated at 46 million. The amount of Jewish people in the world is around 16 million.

Before October of last year, the rapper-entertainer had blazed a trail in fashion and design, which included a lucrative partnership with Adidas.

But his celebrity status began to unravel after he appeared at a Paris fashion show on Oct. 3, 2022, while wearing an oversize shirt that read “White Lives Matter.”

Less than a week later, Ye wrote an Instagram post hinting that Sean “Diddy” Combs was controlled by Jews — resulting in his social media account being restricted.

The next day, he posted a tweet on the platform now known as X which read: “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.”

The company that was then known as Twitter removed the post and locked Ye’s account.

Ye then appeared on a podcast during which he repeated accusations against “Jewish media” and “Jewish Zionists” who were behind the decision to cancel his shows.

The comments resulted in corporate brands such as Balenciaga and Adidas to sever ties with Ye, whose net worth dropped by around $1.5 billion as a result of the fallout.

Ye continued making bizarre statements. While being interviewed on Alex Jones’ show last year, Ye said: “I see good things about Hitler.”

A day later, he was suspended from Twitter after posting an image of a swastika inside a Star of David. Elon Musk, who had just acquired the company, said Ye violated the terms of service.
