The floundering Mets have a reason for optimism.
The current plan is for injured superstar outfielder Juan Soto to return to action Wednesday against the Twins, noti.group’s Jon Heyman reported Tuesday.
The Mets, losers of 11 straight games, begin a nine-game homestand Tuesday against Minnesota.
Soto, 27, has not played since April 3 due to a right calf strain.
He is 11-for-31 with one homer and five RBIs in eight games this season.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
