Malik Nabers on a Bleacher Report simulcast Thursday night with Packers linebacker Micah Parsons questioned the Giants as he saw his team select Arvell Reese with the No. 5 pick.

Nabers did not understand why his team took another edge rusher, unaware that the Giants will use Reese as a weakside linebacker.

“Love the player, don’t get me wrong. But where do you play?” Nabers said. “He is going to want to be on the outside to rush but we just drafted somebody [Abdul Carter] last year to do that same position.”

John Harbaugh made sure Friday morning to speak to Nabers about those comments, calling it a “great conversion’’ with the wide receiver who is returning from ACL surgery.

“I appreciate kinda where he was coming from,” Harbaugh said. “You’re in a podcast talking ball and he’s like ‘How are they gonna use the guy? Where is he gonna play?’

“I showed him how we’re gonna use him. He seemed fired up about it.”

Harbaugh did not sound upset with Nabers expressing his opinion.

“We don’t get too worried about stuff, as long as a person’s heart is in the right place, as long as a person really cares and really wants what’s best for everybody,” Harbaugh said. “Say what you think, put it out there.’’

Harbaugh was pleased that Nabers was the first player to meet Reese and his family when they arrived at the team facility.
