Could a new helmet be the spark the Jets need going into 2026?
The Jets on Tuesday morning unveiled their “White Out” helmet, which they’ll wear for their home opener against the Packers on Sept. 20.
The white helmets and face mask include a green version of the Jets’ updated logo on the side, while a green “NY” logo sits in the center of the forehead.
The green “NY” logo leads to a green stripe across the top of the helmet.
In addition to the helmet, the Jets also revealed the jerseys they’ll be wearing against the Packers for the “White Out,” which are white with green numbers and stripes.
Multiple Jets players including Geno Smith and Breece Hall modeled the helmets Tuesday as the Jets X account posted a video of player reactions to the unveiling.
No announcement has been made on whether the helmets will appear more than once during the 2026 season.
After finishing last year 3-14, the Jets can only hope their new helmets will provide a spark coming into 2026 — they enter the season with a 15-year playoff drought, the longest in North American pro sports.
