One day after moving on from offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand, the Jets did five interviews with potential replacements.

The team announced that it conducted interviews with five candidates for the offensive coordinator opening — Frank Reich, Greg Roman, Darrell Bevell, Ronald Curry and Lunda Wells.

Reich is seen as the favorite for the job.

The former Colts and Panthers head coach has been talking to Jets coach Aaron Glenn about joining the staff for days.

It was initially thought the Jets would hire a senior assistant to pair with Engstrand, but once Glenn decided to take play-calling duties from Engstrand, the two sides could not agree on a role for him and decided to split.

Bevell and Roman are both veteran coordinators.

Bevell spent the past four years with the Dolphins as their quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.

He has been the offensive coordinator for the Jaguars, Lions, Seahawks and Vikings. He won a Super Bowl in Seattle.

Roman was the Chargers offensive coordinator in the last two seasons under Jim Harbaugh but was fired after the team lost to the Patriots in the playoffs.

Before the Chargers, he was an offensive coordinator for the Raves, Bills and 49ers.

Curry has been the Bills quarterbacks coach for the past two seasons.

He and Glenn worked together with the Saints from 2016-20 when Curry was an offensive assistant and wide receivers coach.

Wells has been the Cowboys tight ends coach for the past six seasons.
